Stalemate-Impasse-Current Update as of 10-1-2013

Hello Friends and Members;

Right now we are working to resolve a stalemate and call for a meeting to elect or retain a total of 5 board members and one historian.   Our goal is to try and resolve the current stalemate that has stymied the Cemetery Foundation and its core responsibility.

I feel that the people on the board are all decent people but we all know that disagreements or disputes can become political or controversial.   I have asked the current board president to call a public meeting for a weekend in October 2013 to establish some new board members and determine the status of others going forward.

MY ultimate goal and the goal of the group of members I represent is to get the grass cut and end the discourse that currently plagues the group.  In doing this I am not saying we need to get rid of anyone just saying we need to reach some sort of agreement so the business and maintenance of our facility gets maintained and everyone pulls away from being frustrated at the current issues and members of the board.

Our board members are good people that have come on to some serious issues and are just trying to work them out.  I hope my attention to this as a group brings everyone involved to their senses so we do not have to pursue other venues of resolution.

For the time being our board is:

President:  Chris Lamar
Treasurer:  Alan Lamar

I am looking for opinions on what may need to occur to resolve the differences to a mutual understanding between Chris and Alan.   I personally enjoy talking with both men and feel we can move forward by installing active members from several families rather than from one or two families.

Alan has several decades of history about the cemetery and knows quite abit about where graves are and the best way to maintain and rejoice some of the veterans and members that are interred here.

Chris, his son, is a personable young man that any group would be proud to have serve as there president.  Chris is doing a good job but needs some board members to be able to get the common agenda accomplished.

Please leave your comments below and thanks for supporting our cemetery.  Bless you one and all!
